Dr. Jared M. Robichaux Neurosurgeon

Spine Surgeon Dr. Jared Robichaux grew up in Mandeville. When asked why he decided to pursue medicine, he says, “There was never another option.” Dr. Robichaux has always held a passion for helping others. He was drawn to neurological surgery for the opportunity to provide excellent treatment to patients with very complex conditions.

“I chose neurological surgery as a specialty because it is a field where daily improvements and technological advancements in diagnosis and treatment are achieved. I want to be part of a generation that continues to improve the outcomes of patients requiring brain and spinal disorders treatment.”

After medical school at L SU in New Orleans, Dr. Robichaux completed a residency with the L SU Health Science Center New Orleans Department of Neurological Surgery and an MBA in Business Administration from LSU Shreveport. Dr. Robichaux is trained in neurological and minimally invasive spine surgery, including neuro-navigation and robotic-assisted surgery.

Dr. Robichaux treats patients in Hammond, Houma, and Metairie.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Dr. Robichaux is trained in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. This approach provides smaller incisions, reduces the risk of infection, minimizes postoperative discomfort, and results in shorter recovery times.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery can help patients dealing with sciatica, herniated discs, neck or back pain, degenerative disc disease, stenosis, vertebral compression fractures, and spondylolisthesis.

Unlike traditional, “open” spine surgery, entry and repair to the damaged disc or vertebrae is achieved without harming nearby muscles and tissues. Less muscle and tissue damage results in less pain and a faster recovery. Click here to learn more.

He treats brain and spine conditions, including treatment of degenerative spinal disease, chronic neck and back pain, peripheral nerve diseases like carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy, compression fractures, traumatic injuries of the brain and spine, and tumors of the brain and spine.

Dr. Robichaux is trained in motion preservation procedures of the spine. He is licensed in Total Disc Replacements of the cervical spine.

He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Louisiana Neurological Society.
