Garrett Simoneaux, PA-C Physician's Assistant

Garrett Simoneaux was born and raised in St. Bernard, Louisiana and now works with AVALA Spine as a Physician’s Assistant.

He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biological Sciences. He received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2016 from the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

During PA school, Garrett trained in 6 of the core medical specialties and completed rotations in Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic surgery.

Garrett was drawn to the medical field after fighting his own battle with Cystic Fibrosis as a child. He says he wants to provide the same quality care to patients just as other medical professionals have provided him. During his time at LSU Health Sciences, he gained a passion for spine surgery and enjoys helping people with back and neck pain.

When he isn’t seeing patients, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife, child and two dogs at the dog park. He also enjoys water sports, hunting, fishing and an occasional kickball or softball game.
