COVINGTON, LOUISIANA – AVALA is pleased to announce the expansion of its physician partnerships with the addition of AVALA Spine, formerly DISC of Louisiana.  DISC of Louisiana has long seen the benefit of its evolution to AVALA Spine, helping to bridge the gap from clinical to surgical care with AVALA. Beginning September 1, 2023, DISC of Louisiana will do business as AVALA Spine. 

 DISC of Louisiana Spine Physicians, Dr. Samer Shamieh, Dr. Jeremy James, Dr. Justin Owen, and Dr. Sean Michael Rider have partnered with AVALA since the hospital came under new ownership in 2017 for first-class surgical, imaging, and physical therapy care.
